Why do you need to remain proficient?
It's quite simple, without regular practice of procedures, we forget them.
Airlines and authorities worldwide recognise this.
This is why airlines put all their pilots, regardless of experience, through proficiency checks every 6 months, it's safety critical.
If you are a low hours pilot, not flying the line, how exactly are you keeping all of your skills sharp?
Recently finished your MCC? Sending out CV's? You need to keep your skills sharp with sim refreshers or simply risk not getting the job when the time comes!
What is needed to stay proficient?
Why do the airlines ask you how many jet simulator hours and flying hours you've gained in the last 6 and 12 months?
They want to see evidence of you keeping your proficiency in your CRM and flying skills. You can get rusty quick!
We recommend at least a 2 hour simulator refresher every 2 to 3 months.
How can Jet Sim School assist you?
We offer bespoke simulator refresher sessions. Whether flying complete sectors, or practicing particular skills, we've got you covered.
Brief with your currently serving line pilot first, usually 60 minutes, then into the simulator for 1 hour (or multiples of), and then a debrief as required at the end. Typically 30 mins.
Why pay extortionate fees for full motion, or certified simulators, when you simply don't need to?
You're keeping your skills sharp, not gaining a license.
£250 per hour is all you need to pay. Plus 20% VAT.
A currently serving line pilot will be with you to operate in either a PF or PM role, either side, as you require.
